Q.  What is a Zomb-O-Ree?

A.  Pacific Skyline Council’s Zomb-O-Ree is a brand-new camporee-styled event happening at Cutter Scout Reservation on April 27-29, 2012!  All of the event’s activities will highlight Scouting skills that you would use to survive a Zombie Apocalypse, in addition to a bunch of other cool stuff, like our Zipline!

Q.  Where is Zomb-O-Ree being held?

A.  Cutter Scout Reservation is the perfect spot for an event like this!  Relatively isolated, Cutter would naturally be one of the last safe havens in our area from an army of hungry, reanimated corpses.  One way in, one way out; sufficiently stocked with food and a supply of fresh water, not to mention plenty of ammunition!  Is there a place that you’d rather be?

Q.  I better get to Cutter as soon as possible!  When can I get there?

A.  Event check-in starts on Friday, April 27 @ 1730 hrs and ends at 2100 hrs (5:30 pm -9:00 pm for civilians).  Once you’ve been cleared by our Medical Staff – we need to make sure that no one in your contingent has been infected with the Zombie Contagion – then you may proceed to the Harkson Lodge for final processing and a light dinner.

Q.  What are some of the activities that I can participate in?

A.  Activities are divided into three main areas:

  • Invasion Training Stations:  Practice your first aid, knots & lashings, fire building and a host of other skills on the morning of April 28.
  • Zombie Defense Centers:  Look SHARP!  Your favorite rifle or shotgun may be your last hope against a pending Zombie attack.  Or, you might want to use a bow instead – a silver-tipped arrow flying swift, silent and sure might be just as effective!
  • Team Response and Execution:  There is safety in numbers!  Teamwork will be your only hope for survival!

A detailed list of the activity stations is contained in the Zomb-O-Ree Leaders’ Guide.

Q.  Will I need my uniform to identify me as a non-Zombie?

A:  No!  This isn’t your father’s Zomb-O-Ree!  Come in a white t-shirt and your “grubbies.”  Zombies are known for not being able to maintain their cellular integrity for very long – we wouldn’t want your “Court of Honor best” to get stained by Zombie drool.

Q.  Do I need to bring any special equipment?

A.  Food is provided as part of the event’s registration fee so, at minimum, Scouts and Scouters need to only bring a sleeping bag, pad, and tent.  There is a more descriptive gear list contained in the Zomb-O-Ree Leaders’ Guide.

Q.  This sounds great!  How much does it cost?

A.   Zomb-O-Ree costs $40.00/Scout and includes all meals (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch) and a commemorative event patch.  A late fee of $10.00 will be charged for all registrations after April 20.

Q.  Just a patch?!  You couldn’t do better than that?

A special Zomb-O-Ree t-shirt is available for purchase at and is customizable with your Troop # and location at no extra charge.  Order them now and you’ll be able to wear the coolest Scouting T at summer camp!

Q.  I’m an Adult Scouter and don’t want to miss the fun.  Can I come too?

A.  Of course!  Scouters can participate as Staff at a special registration fee of $30.00/Scouter.  This fee includes all meals (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch), a commemorative patch, and a special edition Staff t-shirt!
