Cost: $20 per scout
Who: All Scouts (limited to 20!)
Attire: No Scout uniform. Helmet REQUIRED(Bike helmet will work)
Wear comfortable clothes to play.
Broomball is played in tennis shoes
Recommended - Gloves, knee and elbow pads.

What is Broomball?

In a game of broomball there are two teams. Players hit a small ball around the ice with a stick called a "broom".The broom may have a wooden or aluminum shaft and has a rubber-molded triangular head similar in shape to that of a regular broom . Goals are scored by hitting the ball into your opponent's net using your broom. Tactics and plays are similar to those used in ice hockey.

NOTE: All Scouts must fill turn in a signed BSA Activity Consent Form (see below) two weeks before.

Details

  • 1:00pm - Meet at Winter Lodge
  • 1:30pm to 2.30pm - On the ice (play Broomball)
  • 2.30pm to 3.00pm - Enjoy some hot chocolate with the group

Ice Skating (OPTIONAL)

  • 3.00pm to 5.00pm is pubic session open skate time. If interested ,please pay directly at the Winter Lodge office.
Fee for skating is $13 per skater (if you bring your skates, fees are $9 per skater).
