Background

Operation: Care & Comfort provides support and comfort to "adopted" units of deployed U.S. military service members, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other conflict regions. Working within our community and through donations received from all over our country, OCC assembles and ships care packages to adopted units every month until they return home. OCC currently supports up to 200 units on a monthly basis and has shipped 925,000 pounds of care packages to U.S. Military personnel deployed in the conflict regions since 2003.

Schedule

  • 9:30am - Meet @ LAUMC parking lot to arrange carpools
  • 10:00am - Arrive at American Legion Post and check in
  • Work until we finish (could be anywhere from 2-4 hours est.)
As our President says:

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you.  If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
