Details

We are offering a 50 mile, 5 day, and 4 night backpacking trip from Los Altos to Waddell Beach near Davenport. We are calling it: Los Altos-to-the-Sea.

Los Altos-to-the-Sea dates are Aug 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. This will be challenging trip and we have classified it as an advance backpacking trip and this will be small group of 9-10 Scouts only. We are very restricted on the number of Scouts due to the size limits of the trail camps.

We will have several criteria for the trip and they are as follows:
  1. Attended at least one intermediate packing trip (Big Sur or Pt. Reyes) or attended a high adventure camp (Philmont or Northern Tier), or have Scoutmaster approval
  2. Age: >13 years old
  3. In good physical shape
  4. Attend prep meetings and do some shake down hikes in June and July.
