On the Trail to First Class and need to cook for your patrol?
Enjoy shooting sports and can't wait until summer camp?

Join us for camping and shooting at Camp Pico Blanco.  Camp Pico Blanco is located on the south fork of the Little Sur River in Monterey County.  It is located 16 miles off scenic Highway 1 and is surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest and the entrance to the Ventana Wilderness Area.

There will be NRA-certified Instructors for rifle, shotgun, pistol, and muzzle-loaders all under the supervision of a BSA National Camping School Director who runs the ranges for Camp Pico Blanco as part of the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council.  This will be a joint event with Venture Scouts from the region attending a leadership campout the same weekend.  This gives us the ability to offer Boy Scouts who are 14 or older the chance to shoot a high-power, center-fire rifle and/or a .22LR caliber pistol all under close supervision and a safe environment.

Scouts who are not yet First Class can work on completing their meal planning and patrol cooking requirements along with other Second Class and First Class requirements and still get a chance to participate in several shooting sports activities.

Scouts who are First Class and above have several shooting sports options depending on their age.

NOTE: This campout is NOT open to First Year Scouts who join on March 4th.  They can look forward to camping at BCSR on May 3-4, 2014.
