Hey, scouts!

Troop 33 Scouts, merit badge-seekers, parent hiker enthusiasts -- do I have an activity for you!!

Earn an Eagle-required merit badge over the summer or hike for hikers sake!

Mr. Pauly will be leading the Hiking Merit Badge, which requires 6 long hikes (5 ten-mile hikes and 1 twenty-miler). This is a great preparation for the 50-milers, and if you make all 6 Saturdays, you will definitely get the merit badge.

What’s that you say? You already have the badge? You can’t make all 6 Saturdays? No problem! You can make as many or as few as you like, and you are guaranteed to see some amazing places around the Bay Area that you likely have never seen before, because Mr. Pauly knows the local hiking trails like few others.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Scouts (and all participants) must be physically fit and accustomed to 10-mile hikes, which could take up to 5 hours, depending on the speed of the group.

Below are the dates and Activity Coordinators (AC) for the hikes:
We will meet at LAUMC at 7am, so that we can do these hikes before the hottest part of the day.

Cost is FREE. Drivers will be reimbursed for gas, and you will need to bring a lunch.

The more the merrier, as long as we have drivers.

Have we eliminated all of your reasons for not going yet? Good. See you there!
