Montara Day Hike - May 28, 2016


What: Day Hike at Montara Mountain
When: May 28, 2016 , Following the end of the Memorial Day Flag event . Hike starts at 1 pm
Where: Starting at McNee Ranch, in the parking lot opposite Grey Whale Cove State Beach, near Pacifica. 
Who: All Troop 33 Scouts (but must be a strong hiker)
Cost: $0

After the flag placement, you might want to join this awesome hike at Montara !  


Level of Difficulty:  Medium-hard.  8 miles, +/-1700’ in elevation.


What to bring:

  • Be ready to hike!
  • 10 essentials
  • Boots
  • Class A uniform NOT required, so bring a change of clothes if you are going to the Flag Placement in the morning.

Agenda

 The Memorial Day Flag placement event should end approximately around 11am.The scouts signed up for the hike will have lunch prior to the hike. They have an option to bring packed lunch or to bring some money to buy lunch in Pacifica.The hike starts at 1 pm. Drivers are in place to drive them to lunch, trailhead and back to LAUMC.

Estimated timing for hikers returning to LAUMC is around 5pm.
