Trail to First Class Camping - November 3-5, 2017

What: Trail to First Class Camping
When: November 3 - 5, 2017
Where: Cutter Scout Reservation
Who: Only scouts needing the same Trail to First Class skills covered at Oljato
Cost: TBD
Activity Coordinator: Leslie Becker

Participation must be approved by either Mr. Poppitz (First Years) or Mr. Stanley (Second Years or above).  This camp has a highly specific focus.

Our local council put this weekend together largely for scouts who missed Oljato.  It covers much the same material as Oljato's Trail to First Class session, but condensed into just a Saturday. There will be too many stations for a scout to attend (nor do they want to) so Mr. Poppitz will design specific agendas for scouts to maximize their potential for hitting the most important skills for their advancement.

You must sign your scout up with both Troop 33 (see "Click here to sign up" link above) and with the District here  Make sure you enter "Troop" for "Unit" and 33 so that they know to group all us us together in a campsite.  The District is directly charging $30 per scout,  for activities, and our Troop needs to collect additional $45 to pay for our meals that we cook in camp.  Please write a check to "BSA Troop 33" and write "TTFC" and your scout's name on the memo line.

The council will provide more details soon, but here's the general outline of the weekend:
Friday evening we drive up, cook/eat/cleanup dinner, and camp.
Saturday is when all the stations will be operating.   We'll prepare all meals patrol style in camp.
Sunday we cook/eat/cleanup breakfast and head home, arriving back at LAUMC at roughly lunch time.
