Arrive: Meet at LMAUC at 7:00 am

Leave: 7:15 am

Return: 1:30 pm

Drivers-Please plan on driving, we will load up cars when we get there on Saturday


What to Bring:  Activity consent form (either bring to Tuesday 1/29 meeting or to hike meeting location on 2/2),10 essentials, water backpack at least 2 liters of water, snacks to have at the peak, sunscreen, and camera.

Wear: Dress in Layers it will be cold first thing in the morning, then hot, then cold at the top of the peak.

Shoes: Required hiking boots or tennis shoes with really good grip.


Scouts-If you want to be a trail leader, timer or a navi-guessor please let Ms. Oates know.

Location: Pinnacles National Monument, Paicines CA 95043

Type of Hike: Moderate

Directions to Trailhead: Start at Visitor Center

Trails: Dirt, rocky and steep. We will be stopping in the Bear Gulch caves flashlights are required

Elevation Gain/Loss: 1,384 ft.       

Waiting --We will be doing this hike during our planned camping trip to the Pinnacles?

What to Bring:  Flashlight are required for the caves, 10 essentials, water backpack, snacks, lunch, hiking boots, sunscreen, and camera
