Salvation Army Box Making 2015 Trip Report

posted Feb 27, 2016, 4:04 PM by Kyle Kim

On December 12, 2015, 21 Scouts and 9 adults headed to San Jose to help the Salvation Army make and fill donation boxes. After making the boxes, the Scouts formed an assembly line. They then put assorted food items into the boxes while pushing them down the line, like a conveyor belt. This event was the epitome of cheerful service; it was sprinkled with smiles and joy. Within two hours, the Scouts had packed 500 boxes full of food! When they were finished packing the boxes, they helped organize toys into barrels for donation. After their work was complete, the Scouts headed home, knowing that they had made a good impact on their community.
