Scoutmaster update - December 2, 2012

posted Dec 2, 2012, 10:54 PM by Brent Browning
Tis the season… for service! On Saturday 5 adults and 8 scouts made 1,850 boxes that will be filled with food for those in need during the holidays. Our Troop was asked to lead the efforts this year and there were 4 other high school groups there to help out. We made such quick work that we were able to help out with other tasks.

Cake Auction – THIS Tuesday
A quick reminder that we will be holding a cake auction this week. Scouts are encouraged to bake and decorate a cake that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.

NOTE: We are NOT at LAUMC this week – meet here: Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave, Los Altos, CA

Camp Tamarancho – THIS Weekend
Weather – We are monitoring closely and will provide an update later this week, don’t want to damage the trails!
Planning – Scouts and adults going on this mountain biking campout plan on staying after for a brief planning session.
Bike checks – if you did not get your bike checked yet, come at 7pm and get it done!

Wreath Sales
Today we sold out quickly while selling in between LAUMC worship services. We have sold nearly 200 wreaths!
