Scoutmaster update - February 24, 2013

posted Feb 24, 2013, 10:28 PM by Brent Browning
This weekend 17 Scouts were on the ice playing broomball. It was a fun activity and we ended up with a 9-9 tie game. Several Scouts went ice skating after the game and one even earned the Skating merit badge! While they were busy playing winter sports we had a bunch of OA members camping at Cutter Scout Reservation for the OA winter fellowship. Congratulations to Andrew Aguilar, Jesse Mayer, and Matthew Sears for earning their OA Brotherhood.

PLC – THIS Tuesday @ 6:00pm
Green Bar Scouts please bring $5/person for dinner provided by Roshan Das. This is the last PLC of your term.

OA Elections
Order of the Arrow is Scouting’s national honor society that recognizes Scouts who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. Tim Cyron, our OA Representative, and several OA members will conduct elections THIS Tuesday. To be eligible Scouts must be First Class or higher, have at least 15 nights of camping (only 5-6 nights of summer camp count), and have Scoutmaster approval.

PoR credit for fall term
In order to receive credit for your PoR (term is 9/1-3/1) you need to discuss your service and participation in your role with your Patrol Advisor. For appointed positions (SPL, ASPL, Scribe, Quartermaster, etc.) that is me. You will not automatically receive any credit until you do so. Your Patrol Advisor will review your performance against the expectations set forth in the rubric which is available here:
