This
weekend 39 scouts and 14 adults had a GREAT time on the Sacramento historic
trip. We stayed in a hostel that is an old Victorian mansion (ask one of
the Scouts what it used to be…) We hiked all over the capital city to see
such things as the Old City Cemetery, Fort Sutter, California Auto Museum, Old
Sacramento, and more. We had several tours including one today of the
State Capital building arranged by our own Matt Sears. Saturday night we
watched “Iron Lady” at the historic Crest theater and had a private tour by an
ASM from a local troop who works at the theater. Last night we had a
“campfire” planned and led by Trevor McGall. Patrols rotated cooking and
cleanup duties like a well-oiled machine. Our Scout-in-Charge Caelan
Conant did a fantastic job backed by the rest of the Senior Patrol.
Overall another great trip! See a picture of the group below. Skiing/Snowboarding – February 10th-11th Details will be announced soon for this annual favorite trip. Yes, we are still going. |
