Scoutmaster update - September 24, 2012

posted Sep 24, 2012, 9:49 PM by Brent Browning
This past weekend 32 Scouts and 21 adults camped at Yosemite National Park. We had beautiful weather all weekend combined with lots of action to make for a very successful and fun weekend. Scouts setup in the dark late Friday night and then woke up early to make breakfast and break off in different groups for hiking and rock climbing. The rock climbers hit “church bowl” while four separate groups hit the trail and hiked: Vernal Falls and Mirror Lake, Vernal and Nevada Falls, Upper Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome. The on Sunday we did a brief service project cleaning the Upper Pines campsites.

A huge thank you to Scott Ottoes and Matt Raschke for planning and coordinating this amazing trip!
