March 24: First Year Campout
April 6: Camporee
April 28: Cage cleanout

Scoutmaster Corner

Sunday was a big hike day – for the new First Year Program Scouts, and the two crews getting ready for their Philmont treks this summer.  Both set of Scouts hiked six miles with an elevation gain of about 1280 feet at the La Honda Open Space Preserve in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  Although the weather was overcast, it was not too cold or windy, and when we reached the summit, we were able to see the Pacific Ocean. Many thanks to all the folks that helped arrange the hikes, the drivers, and those who went along on the hike.

Members of the Order of the Arrow – Tuesday’s meeting is an official OA event (OA Call-Out), so be sure to wear your OA sash! (This time it is true)

Reminder - For Scouts newly elected or appointed to a Position of Responsibility that missed the ILST training on Sunday, March 4th, an abbreviated session will be taught on Tuesday, March 27th from 6 – 7:15 pm in Room 9, LAUMC.

This Tuesday
Green Bar has its Patrol Leader’s Council (PLC), 6 – 7 pm, Room 9. LAUMC.
Following announcements, we will hold the OA Call-Out for Scouts elected on February 27th.  Election results were not announced after the election, so if you were on the eligibility list, you will want to be at the meeting to find out if you will be called out.

Main Troop – The theme for March is Camping, and Scouts will participating in a Campfire Program.

First Year Program Scouts start into their requirements for earning the Scout rank.

Reminder: Troop 33 has more open committee positions
