Scoutmaster Update

Chris Webb

Sunday Troop 33 held another Eagle Court of Honor, in which Michael Bassett, Jeremy Bonte, Mayer Feldman, Ashwin Krishna and Travis Mayer were recognized and presented to the community for earning their Eagle Scout rank this year.  Please congratulate them on their achievement and distinction.  Troop 33 now has 240 Eagle Scouts since its inception in 1951.

THIS Tuesday

The entire Troop will conduct a Court of Honor, being led by Drew Jones.  Scouts must be in full uniform to include their merit badge sashes.  The CoH will take the full meeting.

Service Project Hours credit

Need service project hours?  Here are two upcoming opportunities:

April 5th - Join the Rotary Club Los Altos in a benefit to Senior Citizens giving away back/roller packs with first aid materials.  It will be held at the Multi-purpose room at the Hillview Center from 9 - 12 in the morning.  Contact Renny Glasner at for more information and signing up.

May 3rd - Denali School Carnival Fundraiser.  There will be activities, international food trucks, raffles, and a silent auction.  They are asking the Boy Scout troop to help “man” the carnival activities.  This means standing there to collect tickets and ensuring that things are in order, or monitor trash cans or be runners for the volunteer leaders. Set-up/Clean-up would also be helpful.  The event runs from 11 - 4.  Please contact Ms. Karen Franks at 415.595.5464, for more details and signing up.

Hmmm, I Wonder… ?!

Parents – have you ever wondered what all the parts of a “Class A” uniform are?

Reminder: Life Scouts – are you looking for an Eagle Project?

The living gardens projects in the Mountain View Whisman School District has 1-2  garden projects at Huff and Landels elementary schools.  Huff is a small native garden with pathways and turf removal (use a turf cutter to scrape off the turf), thus eligible for a rebate from the Water District.  Landels is similar, but there are also four raised planter boxes at one end of the garden.  Both need to be completed before mid-August and so if started soon after school lets out in June would be ideal.  Please contact if you are interested.

For questions on an activity or event, contact the activity owner listed. As an activity owner to have your items included in the T33 Weekly blast, please submit them to Sundeep Gupta by 5 pm Sunday for the following week’s edition.
