Memorial Day Flag Placement, Saturday, May 28

Laurie Hartford

Annually, Troop 33 Scouts, their families and friends join fellow Cub, Boy and Girl scouts from all over our area to honor the men and women who bravely served our country by placing an American flag at each of the 112,700 graves at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.

This activity will take place this Saturday, May 28th. We will meet at LAUMC at 7am and carpool up to San Bruno. There is no better way to start the Memorial Weekend than by participating in this solemn event while earning service hours for your next rank and a commemorative patch. Sign ups open from the Troop 33 Activity Page. There is no fee for this activity but Activity Consent forms are due this Tuesday, May 24th. Please turn in to Laurie at the beginning of the Troop Meeting.

Day Hike at Montara Following Memorial Day Flag Placement, Saturday, May 28th

Laurie Hartford

After the Flag Placement on Saturday May 28th, you might want to join Mr. Pauly on this beautiful, 8 mile medium-hard hike with beautiful views. See the Troop 33 Activity Page for all the details. Because the hike is medium-hard, some hiking experience is recommended. Sign ups are open on the Troop 33 Activity Page. The hike is free but you will need to bring a signed Activity Consent form to Mrs. Hartford at the beginning of this Tuesday's meeting, May 24th.

For questions on an activity or event, contact the activity owner listed. As an activity owner to have your items included in the T33 Weekly blast, please submit them to Sundeep Gupta by 5 pm Sunday for the following week’s edition.
