Troop 33 collects over 1500 lbs of food, 5th largest in the district

Mattie Coolen

Scouting For Food is an annual BSA service project conducted across the entire country. The food collected by Troop 33 goes to Second Harvest to help those in our community who need assistance.  Seventeen Scouts and eight adults met on the morning of Saturday, Nov 9th to distribute the door hangers and subsequently the following Saturday to collect the food.

Troop 33’s collection of 1520 lbs of food, 5th out of 38 participating units in the district  will bring joy to many families in need. You can check the district food collection stats here

All scouts who participated receive service hours for their effort. Thank you all for participating!

Rock climbing, bouldering and tightrope walking at Planet Granite

Jun Kim

This past Saturday, 13 T33 scouts and 3 incoming webelos visited Planet Granite and had a blast rock climbing, bouldering, and walking the slack line.

The first timers learned quickly and did very well while the more experienced ones pushed themselves on challenging routes and tested their limits.  Planet Granite staff helped the scouts walk a tightrope elevated off the ground.  More details are on the activity page and in the Photos section of the website! Thank you to the Planet Granite staff, T33 belayers, and all the parents who helped make this a great event.
