On Saturday, October 21, eight scouts got high in the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains and zip lined through 80-150-year-old trees safely and with great delight. With two great guides, they spent 2 hours zip lining among the redwoods. Their longest zip was 440’ down a deep redwood canyon. Said one scout, “This was as good as zip lining in Costa Rica and Tahoe without having to fly there!”. A first-year scout said, “This was the best activity that the Troop has ever held!" Great big thanks to Brian Mellea, Scoutmaster-in-Charge, and Zoe Hu, Activity Coordinator.

Again, don’t forget.  There is no meeting on Tuesday, October 31st.  Happy Halloween!

This Tuesday

Merit Badge Rally starts!  All Scouts are participating and there will be no First Year Program Tuesdays, October 24, November 7 and 14.

Troop Merit Badge Rally begins this week — finishing partials is also available!

The troop’s merit badge rally begins this Tuesday.  By now, each scout and parent should have received an email indicating what class they have signed up with and some merit badge counselors have also reached out to the scouts in their classes.  If you have not signed up, there will be no other activities at the troop meetings for the next few weeks.  Also available during the rally is the opportunity to finish up those partials.  If you would like to take advantage of this, please come and see Mr. Pampeyan at the beginning of the meeting to sign up for a counselor.
