Although many Scouts have signed up for merit badges for the rally next week, there are still many openings for most of the offered classes.  Do not miss this opportunity get another merit badge completed on your way to rank advancement. Pay attention to the prerequisites as not all Scouts are eligible for all merit badges.  Go to the activities web page to see what is offered and sign up.

There will be another Order of the Arrow Ordeal Weekend planning meeting for all Scouts, adult leaders and parents immediately following the Troop meeting.  This meeting will not take long as there is no need to organize patrols or plan for meals.

Looking for An Eagle Project?

Animal Assisted Happiness (AAH) enriches the lives of youth with need through barnyard animal interactions at our Smile Farm and mobile visits, creating moments of joy and happiness throughout our AAH Community.  Our vision is 1 million smiles.

We’ve been blessed with a variety of Boy and Girl Scout projects designed and built at the AAH Smile Farm by kids for kids – Three Little Pigs house, Goat Climbing Structure, Guinea Pig Lego Playpen, Mini Horse Feeder, Golden Gate Goat House, Guinea Pig Village, Chicken Village Sails, to name a few.    Check out this video to get a feel for the whimsical projects completed to date: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E1Gt2LNd68&feature=youtu.be

They are looking for a scout to help with their maintenance yard fencing – they have the dimensions but need a design, post holes dug, raising funds for the fencing and of course, building the fence itself. Please contact Julie Crane if interested.

Sign up coming up soon.

Clear your calendar for this week on Catalina Island – where the water is warm and the hills are small.

We attend Emerald bay every other year and it is a favorite for water front merit badges and oceanography.

Don’t forget the day spent in the war canoe – where you go to the other side of the island and camp on the beach.
