Troop 33 Family Picnic

On June 10th, 2014, the last Tuesday meeting of the scout year, our scouts and parents celebrated the annual family picnic (around 300 people total!). There was great food catered by The Pasta Market and the Creekside Room was filled with people talking, laughing, and wild boys running around. A secret surprise was also in store for our retired scoutmaster- Mr. Browning. Mrs. Kolstad and Mrs. Wipfler had discreetly put together a memory book full of notes and pictures from the troop’s scouts. They also wrote a parody of the song “When I’m Gone” and the boys at the picnic sung it surprisingly on-tune with their deep bass voices. Mrs. Bonte had also put together a video titles “The Most Interesting Scoutmaster in the World” and hilarious, comical JibJab. The entire troop will truly miss Mr. Browning and will never forget the countless hours that he’s put into Troop 33 over the years. This was definitely summed up during our picnic. All in all, the family picnic was a great way to tie up the scouting year and say goodbye to our beloved scoutmaster.
