Order of the Arrow (OA) Election

This Tuesday is the Order of the Arrow (OA) Election for eligible Scouts. All Scouts assigned to the Troop vote for this election. Ballots will be presented after an introduction by the Troop Order of the Arrow Representative.

We need at least 50% of Troop Scouts present for the election, so please ensure you come to the meeting. The Election takes place immediately after announcements

Arrowmen who are current with their Lodge dues – this is an official OA event, so wear your OA Sash.

Volunteer Needed: Communication Coordinator

We are in need of a parent to assume the role of Communication Coordinator effective February 25th. The Communication Coordinator prepares and sends out the Weekly Blast every Monday during the Scouting year. Please contact Alan Cyron ( or Vicky Lee (

Troop 33 Girl Scouts Cookie Distribution: Service Hours; Feb. 9th


Last year a total of 7 scouts from Troop 33 helped load 2013 cases (not boxes) into cars. INCREDIBLE!!

We are looking for scouts to continue this tradition of helping Service Unit 608 with loading cases and of course sampling cookies!!


Join us to help with Girl Scouts Cookie Distribution and earn service hours.

Empty Bowls Service Opportunity

Troop 33 has been invited to serve at this March 8th non-profit event.  They are looking for 4 scouts to help 3:30-6:30pm and another clean-up shift of 4 scouts from 6:00-8:00pm (or stay the whole time).  Email Mr. Poppitz at if you are interested.

Powder Horn 2020

When: August 2-8, 2020

Where: Camp Royaneh and Wente Scout Reservation

Cost: $325 before Dec 31, 2019, $375 before April 30, 2020, $425 after

The Powder Horn course introduces Venturing and Boy Scouting adult leaders and Venturing participants (14-20) and Scouts BSA high adventure youth (14-17) to the resources necessary to operate outdoor/high adventure programs (Venturing Ranger program).
