Feb. 8 & 9: Snow Camping

Scoutmaster's Corner

MLK Weekend - Sacramento

19 Scouts and 6 adults road-tripped to Sacramento for the Martin Luther King weekend.  We started with a Sacramento History Museum visit and then heard ghost stories from the town's disastrous flood days on our Underground Tour.  The Railroad Museum highlighted the historic importance of Sacramento to the world's first Transcontinental Railway. The old Cemetery Tour introduced us to (dead) gunslingers, shady business operators, and child mortality (yikes).  Our State Capital Building tour was quite stately indeed after that. We capped it all with Sutter's Fort, Doctor Doolittle (local theater), and ice skating. All while enjoying our hostel's game room.

Broomball - Saturday, January 25, 2020

Want to play ice hockey but not comfortable on skates? Join Troop 33 this Sat. for Broomball!

It’s ice hockey, but with tennis shoes and a ball.

Come join your Scouting friends and play a fast and exciting game of Broomball on Saturday, January 25 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Winterlodge in Palo Alto.

Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundaes will be served after the game!

Troop 33 is missing tents!

Several Troop 33 tents are missing. Rather than buying more tents and charging them back to you in the form of annual fees, we rather they get returned.

The most urgent need is for a particular (rare) 3-man REI tent, but 2-man and 4-man tents also need returning...  regardless of condition (missing parts, torn, whatever - we repair and combine tents as necessary). Please also look for tent parts, like rain-flys or poles, that might have gotten separated.

Please carefully search your garages, storage, and forgotten hiding spots and return tents/parts at the next troop meeting, or you can drop them anytime day-or-night on Mr. Poppitz’s porch - 458 Distel Drive, Los Altos (look for the white picket fence).

Thank you!
